TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

(BEESTON AND TIVERTON AREAS) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2021 

The effect of the Order will be to:

  • Introduce a 30 mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Brook Lane/Peckforton Road, from a point 230 metres north-east of its junction with Moss Lane for a distance of approximately 460 metres in a south-westerly direction;

Chapel Lane, from its junction with Back Lane to its junction with Tattenhall Lane, a distance of approximately 475 metres;

Moss Lane, from its junction with Brook Lane/Peckforton Road for a distance of approximately 310 metres in a south-easterly direction; and

Tattenhall Lane, from its junction with Peckforton Road for a distance of approximately 170 metres in a westerly direction.

  • Introduce a 40 mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Back Lane, from its junction with Brook Lane to its junction with Chapel Lane, a distance of approximately 655 metres;

Betty’s Lane/Moss Lane, from its junction with A49 Whitchurch Road to a point 310 metres south-east of its junction with Brook Lane/Peckforton Road, a distance of approximately 1570 metres;

Brook Lane, from its junction with Back Lane to a point 230 metres north-east of its junction with Moss Lane, a distance of approximately 420 metres;

Brook Lane (Dean Bank), from its junction with A49 Whitchurch Road to its junction with Back Lane, a distance of approximately 940 metres;

Chapel Lane, from its junction with Crimes Lane/Tattenhall Lane to its junction with Back Lane, a distance of approximately 770 metres;

Crimes Lane, from its junction with Chapel Lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres in a westerly direction;

Peckforton Road, from a point 110 metres south-west of its junction with Tattenhall Lane for a distance of approximately 525 metres in a south-westerly direction; and

Tattenhall Lane, from a point 170 metres west of its junction with Peckforton Road to its junction with Chapel Lane, a distance of approximately 850             metres.

 

The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 20 August 2021 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations made should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.
